Volunteers are the life force of our Society, performing every role thinkable in bringing our productions to life. For every actor you see on the stage, there is approximately another six people working behind the scenes.
Our major productions have a total crew of around 240 people, including actors, orchestra, stage hands, fly crew, props, lighting and sound, wardrobe, makeup and hair, cast catering, marketing, ticketing, front of house, and the creative team. Each person plays a crucial role, and without our volunteers, the show could not go on!

We encourage all our volunteers to become financial Members of NPOS, with membership packages starting from as low as $20 per year. Members receive benefits such as early bird access and discounts on tickets, access to merchandise, social functions and more!
